Match rules
The full match rules are published: the stages, scoring, safety rules and code of conduct. Please read them carefully before the match.
The match has a qualifier and six scored stages. Qualifier scores reset to zero; stages 1–6 add up, and the highest total wins. Every hit is worth 1 point (1 or 2 in stage 1), unfired rounds count as misses, and hits after a breach of the firing order do not count.
- Qualifier — 100 m, prone, paper targets. 2 sighters + 6 for score, 3 minutes, 60 points max. The top 24 go through.
- Stage 1, “Group” — ≈300 m, prone, paper target. 4 shots, 60 seconds. Red zone (5 cm) 2 points, blue (15 cm) 1 point, 8 max.
- Stage 2, “Ladder” — ≈500 m, 25×25 cm gong. Two shots from each of the four steps of a ladder barricade, top to bottom. 8 shots, 99 seconds.
- Stage 3, “Black Jack” — ≈460 m, prone, six gongs from 30 cm down to 5 cm. Largest to smallest; you move on only after a hit. 6 shots, 70 seconds.
- Stage 4, “Roof” — off a sloped, roof-like platform, eight gongs at ≈300, 600, 400 and 700 m. One shot per target in a set order. 8 shots, 99 seconds.
- Stage 5, “Stumps” — four gongs at ≈350 and ≈280 m, from two stumps ≈75 cm and ≈60 cm high. Four shots from each. 8 shots, 99 seconds.
- Stage 6, “Long range” (final) — prone, gongs at ≈800, 900 and 1,000 m in a set order. 8 shots, 99 seconds. A tie for first goes to a shoot-off at ≈500 m: the first to hit their target 4 times wins.
Bring 80–100 rounds, eye and ear protection, military or sports clothing, and gear for the weather. Bipods, bags, rangefinders, wind meters, ballistic calculators and other aids are allowed.
